What you can look forward to:
As a GPON Technology Engineer (m/f/d), you will actively shape the Vodafone Spirit. Together with your team, you will be responsible for the specifications of our fiber optic technology for the European fixed network at Vodafone. The implementation of tenders for the selection of our technical components, the acceptance tests and quality controls in the laboratory as well as in our customer network are an integral part of your job. You will also be responsible for the design and implementation of scalable fiber optic solutions in the consumer and enterprise area as well as the development and execution of test and release scenarios of different optical systems. You can also expect responsibility and collaboration in national and international projects and teams. You will recognize, observe and evaluate trends in the field of fiber optic systems as well as their influences on the group's goals and the department. Our flexible working hours with part-time and home office options allow you to successfully balance your private life and your role as GPON Technology Engineer.
What distinguishes you:
- You have good knowledge of circuit-switched and packet-switched networks and access technologies such as GPON, new xPON, xDSL.
- You have experience in developing services with focus on fixed line / DSL / GPON / business services.
- You have an analytical mind and a functional understanding in combination with a structured and result-oriented way of working.
- You have a university degree (preferably electrical / communications engineering or computer science) and at least 5 years of professional experience in the development of services with a focus on fixed network / DSL / GPON / business customer services.
This position can be full-time or near full-time part-time (minimum 30 hours).
